The Team

Founder/Chief Sasquatch

‘Marathon’ Matt Forsman

matt_circleA passionate runner for over 20 years, Matt escaped the confines of his cube in Corporate America in 2005 to launch ‘Marathon Matt’ (www.marathonmatt.com) with the intent of spreading his love for running with as many people as possible in the Bay Area via coaching individual clients and managing half marathon training programs.

Over the past ten years, Matt’s half marathon training programs have grown from 30 runners to 100-150 runners several times a year. Matt’s passion for the sport has helped countless San Franciscans (and others) complete half marathons, conquer marathons, post personal bests, and most importantly, discover a love of running.

Marathon Matt was recently named the best running club by 7X7 Magazine in San Francisco. He also managed to take 2nd place in 7X7’s Small Business Contest.

No longer content to spread his love of running simply via training programs and coaching individuals, Matt’s thrilled to be taking his love in a new direction with Sasquatch Racing.

Chief Operations & Logistics Sasquatch

Alex (The Hammer) Ho

Alex is an ultrarunner extraordinaire.

Alex quit his office job in 2012 to pursue his passion of personal training and helping others live a healthy life. Now he owns an outdoor bootcamp and personal training business, Revision Athletics, that helps transform people’s bodies and minds.

Discovering his love for running in 2010, Alex has spent the past 5 years exploring the Bay Area trails and pushing his physical and mental limits. He’s completed three 100 mile trail races, has run around Mont Blanc in France, and has a number of other fun adventures on the horizon.

His passion for running and racing led him to Matt where he jumped at the opportunity to work with him and Sasquatch Racing to help spread the joy of spending a day on the trails.

The Legend….

sasquatch_circle_150x150What can be said about Sasquatch that hasn’t already been said?

Sasquatch is the heart and soul of Sasquatch Racing. “Sassy” is always looking to have a good time and share it with others. This could be in the form of running. But, Sassy isn’t a one trick pony. He (honestly, we’re not sure if Sasquatch is a ‘he’) likes to eat, drink, and laugh as well.

Sasquatch always has something to say. Sometimes it’s goofy, sometimes it’s inspiring, and occasionally he may give away some prizes. Tune into Sassy’s Twitter and Facebook if you want to hear the latest….
